What a fantastic start to Year 3!

The boys have completed their first full week in Year 3 and have settled in extremely well. As the week has progressed their independence has already visibly improved. Tuck, for the boys, was the highlight of the week; with the After School Activities sharing this limelight too.

In Maths this week we have focused on Place Value and Partitioning. Next week we will be looking at how to add and subtract 9,19, 29 etc from a 2 or 3 digit number.

We have started reading the Butterfly Lion and the boys have completed their first reading comprehension based on the first chapter.

In History we have begun to understand who the Romans were and why they invaded Britain.

In Science we have begun to look at our topic of Teeth and Healthy Eating. Whilst in Geography we have identified the continents in the world and located the oceans.

English homework this week consists of spellings (focusing on double consonants) and creating a fact-file for Michael Morpurgo which will be used in class.

Thank you for all your support and encouragement.

Have a great weekend!
