The boys have been busy again this week.
In Maths we have used the column method when adding and we have begun to think about decimals.. We will continue with this next week but focus more on carrying tens, hundreds and thousands.
In English we have continued to read The Butterfly Lion and we have now completed Chapter 3. Using the descriptions, mainly of people, the boys had completed as Homework we had an extremely interesting lesson. The boys read out their descriptions and other boys drew what they heard, taking note of all the intricate details. We had some very amusing pictures to reflect and analyse. In our Grammar lesson this week we focused on how and when to use exclamation and question marks.
In our quest to learn more about the Romans we have focused on Boudicca this week and we have understood her role in fighting the Romans.
In Geography we have looked at the British Isles and understand where Lochinver is located in relation to the rest of the country.
Food has continued to dominate our Science lessons and this week we have looked at the Food Pyramid and learnt the different food groups and the foods within these. In Science we have also investigated bouyancy as we designed boats and then promptly timed how long it would be before they sank!
Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow at our Open Day.
